Everything we hoped for in deen and dunya — the reason our hijra has worked

This school is the single biggest reason our move to KL has worked for the children. It genuinely integrates a strong academic Cambridge pathway with a serious Islamic programme — daily Qur'an, Arabic, Islamic studies, congregational prayers, and teachers who model good character. Our eldest has memorised significant Qur'an alongside sitting IGCSEs, which would have been almost impossible in the UK. Academically it is strong though not quite at the very top international-school level for sciences — they have improved labs recently. Facilities are modest compared to the Mont Kiara internationals, but honestly that has not mattered to us. Fees are a fraction of the international schools, which let us afford three children. The parent community is warm and largely other relocating Muslim families, so we found our friends here too. If your priority is raising practising Muslim children with a solid academic base, I cannot recommend it enough. Tip: apply early, the popular year groups have waiting lists.

Wonderful Islamic environment; manage expectations on facilities

The Islamic environment is exactly what we wanted — adhan in school, proper wudu and prayer facilities, modest uniform, and staff who care about the children's character. Pastoral care is a real strength; they helped our son settle and dealt with a friendship issue quickly and well. Be realistic about facilities — sports and the campus are basic. Communication via the app is good. Excellent value.
